Lens Politica 2011 Visual identity and print documents
Client: Lens Politica Ry
Completed: November 2011
During our long-term collaboration, the Lens Politica film & media art festival has grown up to become a valuable event in the Helsinki artistic season and we have done our best to constantly keep their visual presence to a solid and consistent level.
The visual composition of this year is basically a variation of the re-design created in 2010 for the 5th anniversary edition. A different color scheme, background visual and various other composition aspects where brought to the new visual style. The desert sand colored background is a picture from the siege of the Commune of Paris, overlapped by the festivals details and the logo, strongly centered and re-purposed inside a black circle. These basic elements forming the festival's identity for this year will be adapted to many different media. In the square sized catalogue, the black circle logo is even oversized on purpose to reinforce this year's bold choice. The programme brochure –always a bit of a challenge in terms of page layout– received extra care to become as much beautiful as coherent.
