Psykologia journal web site
Client: Suomen psykologinen seura
Completed: September 2011
After creating a new visual identity for their academic journal and doing page layout for the publication since 2009, we designed and built the Finnish Psychological Society new web site. There is actually to different homepages and therefore two web sites in one. One presents the society while the other stands as the web presence for the journal Psykologia. Wherever you are, an upper block above the menu will display the latest featured articles to bring the visitors to the main purpose of the site: it's timely content related to the journal. The two-level menu will take you to any place in no more than two (or three) clicks. For every issue published, 4 full articles are released on the web site alongside the editorial, the table of contents and the main articles summaries. The site also features a weekly blog. We defined this specific content policy with the journal's editorial board to preserve the printed content exclusivity, yet attract new readership and open it to a wider public.
The site also function as a useful communication tool for the Finnish Psychological Society and the journal. The multiple online forms handle reader's feedback, subscriptions as well as article submissions. The social sharing functions helps the content spread across the web.
